The Smithy, new to the farm for 2023, is a detached, one-bedroom self-catering cottage near Grasmere. Small but perfectly formed, this cottage sees a contemporary space set within a 19th Century building that used to be the blacksmiths on the farm. You can now find a modern, self-contained property with vast high ceilings, a sympathetic conversion with quality fixtures and furnishings which acts as the perfect base to explore The Lakes. With any day arrival, only two night minimum stay, you can plan the perfect short break.
The Smithy is all on one level with stunning views towards Helm Crag and Steel Fell on one side and french doors opening out to a private sitting area overlooking Grasmere Village, Loughrigg and Silver Howe. The space comprises an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area complete with a log burning stove, comfy sofa, wall-mounted 55" LED Smart 4K flat-screen TV with bluetooth connect sound bar, and WiFi throughout. The bright, modern kitchen comes well-equipped with an oven, induction hob, microwave, Nespresso machine, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Although, if you fancy breakfast or dinner from our bistro either delivered to your door or within the restaurant, just book a table.
